I was assigned to cover the PAHIMIS COFFEE FESTIVAL in Amadeo, Province of Cavite.
The event was headed by Mayor Benjarde Villanueva (mayor benjarde is very down to earth and mingles with his constituents all the time. and even to unfamilliar faces, no doubt that his people loves him). Hands down to him because when he made his speech, he thanked his predecessors who initiated Pahimis.
. Pahimis festival is an on going event of the province of cavite specifically Amadeo. It is a celebration wherein the main product of Amadeo is being showcased, COFFEE!
To tell you the truth, the festival supposedly will not push through because of funds. But the great Governor Jonvic Remulla funded the said event. Which is a good thing for the province of Cavite especially on the Tourism part because it is a great opportunity for the province to be known in the coffee industry.
The event turned out so well. It is well organized. The people whom I worked with are so cool and friendly as well. I met several photographers, hopefully they'll join ccc.
I also met a lot of new faces. :)
Festivals are so fun to cover. You see smilling faces, struggling, and even confused faces. :)) hopefully more of this, this year!
TWO THUMBS UP for the people of AMADEO CAVITE!
This is why I want to work in the government sector. Cliche as it may sound but this is what I want for the province and for the country. I want change, just like the line said in that fast food commercial. I want the Philippines to be known, not as the leading corrupt country in the world but the greatest provider world class products.
I want the Filipinos to appreciate what we have. I want them to love our own. I want people to travel the Philippines before travelling abroad and compare.
I want this to happen while working as an employee in the Government sector. It doesn't matter who the President is, or the governor is, what matters most is that I'm working because I want change! :D
