Travel Bacolod

My goal before I enter my 30s is to travel and travel and travel.
And of course there is no other place like the PHILIPPINES.
So step by step, I’m easily discovering new places, new culture,
and new people here in the Philippines.

Our destination, BACOLOD!

The original plan is to visit Bacolod for the famous Masskara festival. But due to misinformation we ended up booking a flight a day after the festival. Funny isn't it? or how unfortunate for us to book a flight after the desired date. haha. Yes! Funny, and fun in a different way. We discovered Bacolod after tons of people left the city. So its kinda peaceful yet disorganized. :)
My initial reaction with Bacolod is that, yes it is the city of smiles and what?

I have no idea about Bacolod. The sceneries, the food (except for the Bacolod Chicken Inasal), the people, and the culture I have no clue at all. I came to Bacolod with very minimal expectations. I am ready to be disappointed and just enjoy the trip. But everything went well according to plan.

The place is so laid back. The people are simple and happy. You know that they are people who enjoy what they are doing. They are so helpful with tourists like us.

Bacolod is far more than what bloggers portray in their blogs. Bacolod is where you can relax and enjoy with the locals. Experience indeed is the best teacher. You can never enjoy Bacolod with just reading about blogs and this article. You will enjoy Bacolod while walking, commuting from place to place. You will enjoy Bacolod because of their culture, history, and people.

And before I forget I had a blast with 3 new found friends and old friends haha. Hindi siguro ko nagenjoy kung hindi ko kasama tong mga to. We are a complete mix of travelers who have the most organized to the fastest and the most laid back person. We are a complete mess the compliments each other. Amazing isn’t it?
