I went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan last April 18-21, 2013. The experience was heaven of fun!
I went there with 4 friends and 2 new found friends haha.
First up is Kinabuch where we tried the Croc Sisig. The taste is just like your ordinary sisig nothing that special. Second day we went Island Hoping (Pambato Island, Starfish Island, and Pandan Island) I can say that I visited some of the best islands in our 7,107 islands! yeah!
Probably I'll make another blog post for those.
The highlight of my Palawan trip is this!
Baker's Hills
The home of the best pastries in Palawan.
I bought:
-Ensaymada
(bread topped with cheese!)
-Crinkles
(Chocolate coated with something white :)) ) **must try** you'll go crazy over it.
I bought 2 large containers and 1 small one.
Baker"s Hill Fascade
You'll think that it is the actual shop. but we were faked by this one because this is the actual bakeshop and the store is outside the bakeshop. Like any other "panaderia" in the Philippines
Hopia (Baboy)
is just over the top! It actually beaten Eng Bee Tin in my taste buds :)).
I actually don't eat hopia. But if you taste this one, You'll forget all the hopia you've tasted before :))
-Oatmeal cookies
Yeah, also a must try for the sugar rushing people! :)) the taste is not that sweet. sweet enough for you to get one, and get one, until you finish off the whole package.
Pastry overload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a little crazy that I get and get and get!!!!
The Gang!
This one is not part of my Baker's Hill Blog but decided to put it anyway.
Our guide "Ate Dori" whom we called ate doray gave this one to us as part of the tour package to atleast give us some energy all throughout our trip going to underground river. At first nobody wants to open it because some are sleepy and all that. but me and cass decided to get one for ourselves haha. and decided to take another one because nobody wants it. UNTIIIIIL! they taste it.
It really tasted that good. Its like yema over a baked cookie. something like that but with cheese on top. super yummy! I forgot to take down the name of the store but its actually near a hotel in palawan. too bad I can't also remember the name of the hotel.
Never the less the experience in Palawan is really great. Definitely i'll go back and kick some butt! haha
By the way we stayed at Microtel Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
I give them a five star! Great Service. Food, Customer Service, Lifeguard (because he is the only lifeguard), Food, Transfers and all that. I'll recommend you to stay here whenever you decide to go to Puerto Princesa Palawan!~
