Well anyway, the original plan was 2 weekends before the day we left. But due to fortuitous events the plan didn't pushed through so we have to reschedule it to another date. Unfortunately, the original cast didn't go. So we have to go on on who's available. So I went up to Baguio with two of my friends migs & bert.
Our first plan is to check out for transient houses, since it's very popular to tourist to just go with the transient houses rather than stay in a hotel. First stop is at Hotel45. I really can't say a lot with hotel 45, I just want to comment on the ambiance of the place. Sa labas palang pagbaba mo ng taxi meron ng mga lalaking nakaabang sa may pintuan offering transient houses to people who are backing out of hotel 45.
Probably you'll ask why are they backing out of hotel 45. One, because surprisingly they are fully booked. probably because they are getting good reviews from travellers on the go. But personally I don't like the place kasi sa labas palang may mga mukang goons na lalaki na nagpipilit nga ng mga transient houses. two kasi mukang old chinese restaurant ung baba mukang feng shui. haha
So we checked the map of our Samsung phones :)) (plug) we are near a hotel just few blocks away from the cathedral and session road. Citylight hotel.
Citylight Hotel is a small hotel but very good for travellers because they offer really cheap rates compared to other hotels with the same quality of the rooms.
For a 2 bedroom we got it for Php 4320.00 for 3 days and 2 nights. with breakfast buffet for 3. how cheap is that!
They have a wide variety of food choices from pancakes to longganisa. They got it all for you. They are offering it also sa mga taong di naka check in sa hotel at a very low price.
We came to Baguio with no idea where to go. Specially me because it's my first time.
Our first food in Baguio is Steaks & Toppings.
I ordered Teriyaki Steak. to my surprise there is this side dish (pancit) MALAMIG PA SA BAGUIO. I don't recommend this restaurant because they offer pre-cooked steaks. and take not they are just like pork chops haha. They will let you choose if rare, medium rare or well done, don't bother to choose because they are all the same because as I've said it is pre cooked.
After dinner we visited the UKAY UKAY street in Burnham Park where you can find a strip of Ukay Ukay at night also known as thrift shops. range of 10-thousands depends on the seller and quality of products. :) but Baguio is a must visit place of Ukay savvy people. sorry I wasn't able to capture a photo of the street because of security purposes.
....
We visited almost all of the tourist spots in Baguio. From Burnham Park, and lots of Parks haha. I also had a glimpse of the pink horse, the Great Bernards of Baguio and the Ifugao people. We also visited an Ifugao Village where you can stay and check -in for your vacation. We also visited the strawberry farm in Benguet. They offer strawberry picking for 500 pesos and you can take home 1 kilo of what you picked. its per group though. but still we think its pricy especially that you're doing their job and still you have to pay for it. haha
We did the strawberry farm and buying of strawberries last kasi baka mabulok yung strawberry pag ilang days na. so yun.
Those were the Highlights of my Baguio Trip.
I'll definitely come back!
I have to commend the Taxi Drivers na hindi sila tumataga ng pamasahe and sobrang bait! mga 9/10 taxi drivers willing mag bigay ng bits of trivia sa mga dinadaanan namin. pero meron ding kulang na lang pababain kami hahaha. anyway, Baguio is truly the summer capital of the Philippines!
